Luke 18:27
Prayer is the most powerful gift God has given to his children. The importance of praying cannot be put into words. It is a direct line to reach our Heavenly Father, it grows our relationship with our Lord. Use to bring Him any needs, concerns, or wants, we can take anything to God. Our Father wants to hear from us, he wants us to come to Him. Just as an infant cries for its mother and she comes at the first cry so does our Lord. The King of all Kings is waiting for you to come to Him, He has always been and will always be waiting to hear from YOU! Pray for health, pray for protection, pray for financial blessing, pray for love, pray for guidance, pray for the Holy Spirit to overcome you, pray for your children, pray for all of God's children. There is nothing too big or too small that you cannot bring to our Heavenly Father. God is waiting for you!

Matthew 6: 5-15
5 And when you pray do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. 9 This, then, is how you should pray

“ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today or daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we have also forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Countless generations have used the same plants for thousands and thousands of years for remedies and to thrive. As with anything you will find conflicting information, especially with so many years of information to go through. One thing that is without question is God created these plants for us, to maintain and rectify our bodies-God’s remedies. In this section you will find herbs and oils mentioned in the Bible. Always take the time to invite the Holy Spirit into your process of crafting God’s remedies. It can be as simple as….
Heavenly Father I come to You today asking for Your guidance in making Your remedies that You created for our benefit. I ask that it is Your hand guiding every step I take. I know all goodness comes from You Lord. You have blessed us because we are Your children. We have You to give all of the thanks, all of the glory and all of the praise.
We lift these words to you in Your sons name Jesus, we love you Lord.
Amen

Exodus 30:22-29 22 Then the LORD said to Moses, 23 Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant calamus, 24 500 shekels of cassia-all according to the sanctuary shekel-and a hin of olive oil 25 Make these into a scared anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the scared anointing oil 26 Then use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law, 27 the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the alter of incense 28 the alter of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand. 29 You shall consecrate them so they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.
500 shekels is about 13 pounds
250 shekels is about 6.5 pounds
A single hin is about 1.5 gallons
Along with Herbs there are multiple Anointing Oils mentioned in the Bible, there are even more just oils mentioned. To be honest I do not know how many of the oils are just an oil and how many are Anointing Oils that is one of the many reasons I am doing this…..I want to know everything I can about God’s remedies from as early as possible and share His creations. So, as I learn more I will add more in. I decided to start with the “recipe” Moses received from God in Exodus 30:22-29 on Mount Sinai.
Pictured is the summit of Jebel Musa, the traditionally thought location in southern Sinai. Without a clear description in the Bible it is open to opinion, many think this location would have been too far for the Israelites to have traveled from the Nile Delta. Some say it was in the Gulf of Aqaba now called Saudi Arabia
Pictured on left the herbs used for anointing oil clockwise, starting at noon cassia, cinnamon, myrrh and calamus

Genesis 37:25 25 As they sat down to eat their meal, they looked up and saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead. Their camels were loaded with spices, balm and myrrh, and they were on their way to take them to Egypt.
Jeremiah 8:22 22 Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is no healing for the wound on my people?
Jeremiah 46:11 11Go up to Gilead and get balm, O Virgin Daughter of Egypt. But you multiply remedies in vain; there is no healing for you.
Gilead is located east of the Jordan River between the Yarmuk River in the north and the Dead Sea to the south.
Balm of Gilead has several meanings in the Bible one is a plant with myrrh-like resin is from the Commiphora gileadensis from the Arabian Peninsula. The plant was also known as biblical bosem, persimmon and balsam. Today balm of Gilead is made mostly from balsam cottonwood trees. It is also interpreted as spiritual medicine that is able to heal Israel, sinners in general. Many biblical verses also point to Jesus as the balm of Gilead, the ultimate healer.
To Make Balm of Gilead oil simply harvest the unopen buds of the Cottonwood tree in spring, usually after a good wind storm as Cottonwood trees tend to be quite tall. You will notice a burnt amber-colored resin oozing from buds. Lay buds out for a few days to ensure dryness. Fill jar 1/2 to 2/3 with buds and add oil of your choice, I usually use Olive oil. Let sit for 6 months to a year, strain and press. Always press your herbs lots of goodness hiding in there. You will be surprised how fragrant it is. Don't assume because you are allergic to Cottonwood fluff you will be allergic to the resin or finished oil. My husband refers to Cottonwood "snow" as his arch-nemesis but slathers the finished oil or balm on almost daily with zero issues.
Gilead is a mountainous region with terraced farming receiving a good amount of rainfall averaging 24-36 inches annually. It was known for its rich balms due to the somewhat heavily forested terrain. According to the Bible Tishbe was the home of Eliajh located in Gilead, the exact location of his hometown is unknown.

Salt is very important for our body to function normally, we require it. We, especially Americans do not use salt the way it was intended. 99% of the salt used, iodized salt kosher or not, is saturated in synthetic chemicals and completely stripped of natural minerals. The alphabet agencies do not require synthetic chemicals used in refining foods to be listed on the ingredient list even though they remain in and on food after processing. Iodized salt goes through a synthetic chemical washing and bleaching. It is then dried at 1200 degrees altering the natural chemical structure even more, anti-caking chemicals containing aluminum or silicon are added along with synthetic iodide or iodine. Making it 95-97% NaCI or sodium chloride and 3-5% synthetic chemicals. There are no natural salts that are white or free-flowing.
Authentic pure salts like Himalayan, from Pakistan’s Salt Range mountains, and Celtic, from the coastal regions of France, Brittany and parts of Portugal are 80-84% NaCI or sodium chloride and 16-20% natural minerals. It is colored in pinks or grays and is clumpy in texture. They contain 60-82 natural minerals, some of the minerals included are 3 types of magnesium, Americans particularly are extremely magnesium deficient. Magnesium chloride, magnesium sulphate, and magnesium bromide, these 3 types of magnesium are an important part of removing excess sodium from the body aiding in blood pressure regulation and hydration among many other functions. Other minerals include potassium, calcium, iron, selenium, iodine, zinc, copper, bromine, phosphorous and manganese. Salt does not add flavor, it releases flavor by breaking the cell walls down and releasing natural flavors of the food. Refined salt is acidic to the body, pure salt is alkalizing to the body.
Salt has many mentions and meanings in the Bible. A covenant, as a symbol of friendship and loyalty, a valuable mineral and as part of the offering.
2 Chronicles 13:5 5Don’t you know that the LORD, the God of Israel, has given the kingship of Israel to David and his descendants forever by a covenant of salt?
Numbers 18:19 19Whatever is set aside from the holy offerings the Israelites present to the LORD I give you and your sons and daughters as your regular share. It is an everlasting covenant of salt before the LORD for both you and your offspring.”
Exodus 30:34-35 34Then the LORD said to Moses. “Take fragrant spices-gum resin, onycha and galbanum-and pure frankincense, all in equal amounts. 35and make a fragrant blend of incense, the work of a perfumer. It is to be salted and pure and sacred.
Matthew 5:13 13You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled on by man.
Colossians 4:6 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
We are called to be the salt of the world. We are that “flavor agent” that spreads the Word of God as Jesus’s disciples. So the flavors of God’s love, grace and mercy can be experienced by all who come to Him.
The only thing refined salt should be used for is ice melt. Treat your temple better and it will treat you better.
